If you purchase packages with the intent to keep as much as possible, they will promotion ban you; meaning you will no longer see promotional deals. Many people have reported they no longer see promotions after doing so, so if you're going to buy promotions -- keep that in mind.
VIP
The VIP system is definitely worth leveling up.
You can achieve higher levels by playing with your GC. A higher VIP level will unlock rank specific promotion deals (which are actually pretty good).
Note: You should play your GC before your SC, as playing with your SC automatically consumes a percentage of your GC.

I always prefer Blackjack, but you can play whatever you like.
Final Notes
